Well I’ts my senior year too and I’m having the same problem you are. Colleges like to see extracurricular activities, but they love to see volunteer work even more because it shows you giving up your time to help your community. My advice would be to take up a club at school, it doesnt have to be anything special, just something to show that you are involved at your school, and volunteer somewhere. It doesnt have to be longterm either because you can put something like Spent time volunteering at General Hospital working with kids, or something like that. Try to do as much as you can this year to make it look like you are very involved and dedicated to your school.

With the way most schools are with involving the police for pranks, I would recommend abandoning any plans for a prank. You wouldn’t want it to go on your record which would follow you the rest of your life. There are more important matters you should be worried about like supporting yourself and get through adult life with very little hassel if possible.

I just felt special that I didn’t have 6 class and could leave for home at 1:20 instead of 3:00

as well as leaving high school.

Other than that, being a senior wasn’t all that grand.

There’s no need to be rude, I was just asking a question, and I wouldn’t dare charge that much because I think its ridiculous to charger 1200 dollars for a few pictures of the end of a tedious part of your life. I was asking because I wanted to know from a PHOTOGRAPHER’S view what would be an appropriate price that isn’t ridiculously priced.

And yes, I know the title isn’t high school senior portrait photographer, but those are the specific portraits I want to take and those are the specific portraits I would like to know the appropriate pricing of.

they will find out eventually. the csu system is so impacted this year it’s INSANE. you will need at least a 3.5 gpa to get into even a decent one it’s so bad. my point is that because it is so competitive if they find even the smallest error in your transcripts they will toss your application. they will only take the highest applicants. i hope you have community college as a backup plan. good luck though!

I was really pleased with my senior pictures, I had 2 outfits, one was a black long-sleeved shirt, the other was a brown long-sleeved shirt, the neutral colors really helped the photos look better.
As for poses or backgrounds, it really depends on your personality. I had my pictures done in a studio with a brick wall behind me and outside in front of an old house.

You should try out some hairstyles first and decide which looks best on you. Just because a style is trending right now, doesn’t mean it will look good on you ( some trendy stuff actually looks like s***). Try different ones you like that you see in a magazine or on t.v. and see if they look good on you. Plan ahead and don’t try the new style the day of the pictures, you may not like it and then you’ll be stressing. You’re the only one who knows what you like and what looks good on you, so, get to it!!
