I don’t know about your school but for mine all the girls wore this blue off the shoulder shawl that the photographer brought for our senior pictures.

i would say do something traditional.
im a tan blonde and i think black looks really good on.
plus you dont want to wear something really trendy because when you look at them in ten years you dont want to be like "omg what was i thinking?!"

i would say wear a blue or green shirt with tan or beige pants.

I agree with Diana, don’t pick something trendy. I’ve been out of school 19 years and I love my senior picture. It’s honestly one of the best pictures I have ever taken. Besides that, I wore a very simple but dressy classic summer dress.

Think about what pose your going to have done, that will effect it alot. Like if its outside try to have brighter colors. but if your indoors or in a traditional style setting go for more conservitive or neutral or black clothing. In general when taking senior pictures solid colors look better that prints or patterns because those clothes detract from you. Find something that fits you well but is not to revealing (these pictures are going to be shown to your family) and if you have clothes in you closet that you think show off your personality wear those because then your personality will come threw in the picture. most of all have fun with them and don’t get stressed.

If you have an outfit that you are extremely confident and comfortable in, then wear that ourfit, because it will definitely help you smile more naturally. If you are going shopping for an outfit, then I think you would look great in a cute an casual green dress, or a semi-formal, pants and shirt look. But from your description, green seems to be your color. See the following sites:

    Good luck!

I didn’t add any accesories so I’ll leave that up to you. You didn’t say what kind of style you prefer, so I threw in a little of everything. If I were you I would stick to blues and greens to bring out your eyes…
Remember that everyone is going to see these pictures! Don’t wear anything sleeveless or strapless, and definently nothing revealing… these are the pictures your grandma is gonna put in her living room, so wear something she would approve of!
I don’t know how your are going to do it, but usually people take photos wearing a few different things. Yeah, you usually have to wear that fake gown thing for the yearbook, but then you get a few that are all your choice.
Some will be just headshots and others full body poses, so I included everything to the shoes.
    1. This would be nice either outside or with a backdrop. It will definitely bring out your eyes and skin tone. You could take shots by a lake or waterfall, or just use a greyish backdrop.
    2. This one is more dressy, but not too much. You don’t want to go over the top, these are just photos not prom pictures. It would look gorgeous at some type of park, with flowers or a gazebo, or a nice bench.
    3. This is very casual, and if you are into any sports this would be a great way to include them, ie. a volleyball, soccer ball, or bat and mit.
    4. This is fun, something a little flirty (pink). Also it is very classic, you can’t go wrong with a collared shirt. You could just have the photographer set you up in a really cute pose, or you could even get your girlfirends together and take a group picture.
Wear your hair down. Straighten it, or curl the bottom.
Most of all, remind yourself that these are reminiscent pictures. So be yourself… don’t dress a way that you wouldn’t normally dress, or put on more make-up than usuall… BE YOURSELF and in a few years when you look back at them think of how you’ve grown and matured! GOOD LUCK!
